The deep red flowers with yellow-orange eyes and edges make 'Disco Red' marigolds eye-catching and somehow uplifting. French marigolds such as this variety add a simple cheerfulness to the summer garden, along borders, in hanging baskets, and container planters. Not fussy in looks, 'Disco Red' marigold is not particularly fussy about its growing needs either. Given ample sun, regular water and fertilizer, and a bit of deadheading throughout the season, this French marigold will keep on blooming right up until frost. Consider planting marigolds in or near vegetable gardens, as they are a natural repellent for some garden pests, while also attracting pollinators.
