When we first saw these 'Bonanza Orange' French marigolds, all we could say was WOW. Truly eye-catching and spirit-lifting, these summer annuals are perfect along borders or in container planters and hanging baskets. A low-maintenance show-off, deadheading spent flowers and fertilizing will keep new blooms coming up into fall. Marigolds have a distinct odor that may or may not be pleasing to gardeners, but it seems to repel deer and unwanted insects. Unfortunately, slugs seem to love the finely cut foliage, so keep an eye out for these invaders.
