In the same family as Creeping Jenny, but much more robust in texture with red veins and stems. Another great trailer!

CloseCreeping Jenny is a well-loved trailing perennial for spring and summer hanging baskets and container planters. What many gardeners don't realize is that there are other varieties of lysimachia that are just as exuberant at trailing and have their own good looks. Lysimachia 'Sunburst,' developed by Hillier Nurseries in the United Kingdom, boasts thick, green leaves similar in shape to Creeping Jenny but with red veins and stems. It has the same trailing power as its ubiquitous cousin and the signature deep yellow flowers in the summer, but with flame red markings. Consider giving 'Sunburst' lysimachia a try as trailers in your hanging baskets for a slightly different but equally lush look.
