CloseLithodora 'Heavenly Blue' (formerly known as Lithospermum) is a dependable, low-growing evergreen in the Pacific NW. Intensely blue flowers emerge in the spring and continue into summer, blanketing the needle-like, blue-green foliage. Plan on trimming the tips of new shoots to about half in late summer to encourage a dense form. Lithodora works well in rock gardens, woodland gardens, container planters and in borders as long as it gets adequate sun.
