Scarletta Fetterbush may sound like the name of an eccentric aunt, but Scarletta Leucothoe is anything but. This down-to-earth, reliable evergreen shrub is valued for its foliage color for those shady garden spots. New growth emerges a beautiful scarlet purple before turning a shiny green. Fall weather brings out reddish-bronze tones over the entire low-growing shrub. Clusters of white flowers emerge in the spring.
