CloseAlthough commonly called English lavender, 'Hidcote' is technically from the Mediterranean area, thus thriving in full sun and dry soil (once established). Beautiful spikes of purple/blue flowers bloom heavily throughout the summer, attracting butterflies and humans alike. A light pruning early in the spring will help keep this lavender compact and tidy, and removing spent flowers will prolong blooms as well.
