As spectacular as the tall bearded irises' blooms may be, this Sweet Variegated Iris's striped blue-green foliage will definitely catch one's eye. Tall, fragrant lavender blooms will emerge in the spring and continue on into early summer, but once they're gone, you'll still have the wonderful color and texture of the strap-like leaves. Those tend to hang on right up until a hard freeze, when they die down until next spring.
