Though often considered a semi-evergreen ground cover, St. John's Wort 'Miracle Horizon' can grow to be two to three feet tall and wide. Dark green foliage is topped by bright yellow flowers in the late spring and summer. Those morph into salmon-pink berries in the fall and winter, adding color (and bringing birds) to your garden when all the summer blooms have faded. Hypericums prefer sunny locations and are drought tolerant once established, but can handle shadier locations, albeit with fewer blooms and berries.
