CloseHoyas are an excellent starter plant for those new to growing indoor gardens. Tolerant of some neglect, Wax Vines thrive in well-lit environments with deep but infrequent watering. Hoya macrophylla is one of the more unusual varieties, with heavily veined dark green leaves that can grow up to eight inches in length along five to six foot long vines. Let this one trail from hanging baskets or climb with support, on its own or combined with other hoyas. Given enough light, hoyas may bloom in the summer months, forming round balls of creamy white to pink flowers that give off a pleasant scent at night.
