Close'Stella de Oro' reblooming daylily is such a rock star, it's earned awards in the United States and Britain. Compact, drought tolerant once established, blooming throughout the summer and into the fall, this perennial is an easy-care addition to sunny gardens, container planters, and hanging baskets. About a foot tall and wide, the strap-like arching leaves act as a ground cover during the growing months, then die back in the winter. Though tolerant of low water, daylilies look their best when watered deeply. FYI, reblooming daylilies like 'Stella de Oro' send up stalks of flowers throughout the summer, whereas "ordinary" daylilies have a much shorter blooming period.
