CloseLenten Roses are a favorite of ours for winter color, but many varieties have downward facing flowers, and it's difficult to appreciate the blooms without lifting them up. 'Honeyhill Joy' shows off its creamy white blooms without us having to stand on our heads, and its green serrated leaves add interest to the fall/winter garden. A prolific bloomer, 'Honeyhill Joy' develops masses of outward facing flowers that eventually turn green as the season progresses. Hellebores prefer afternoon shade during the summer, but can handle any exposure during our Pacific NW winters, so don't hesitate to add them to hanging baskets or container planters to brighten up the dark days of winter.
