Close'Caliente Pink' Zonal Geranium is a cross between the upright zonal geraniums and the trailing ivy geraniums. Though more mounding than a true trailer, the branched stems will drape over the edge of hanging baskets and container planters, while creating bright mounds of pink in the garden, in borders or in mass plantings. The bright pink flowers have the looser structure of ivy geranium flowers and are self-cleaning, so no need to deadhead. Sunshine, water, and fertilizer will keep this drought-tolerant annual looking its best. Beware budworms however, as they love geraniums. If the foliage is healthy but the plant stops flowering, look for telltale black droppings/spots on the leaves or tiny green caterpillars. We've got a foliar spray that will have your geraniums blooming again in no time!
