CloseHere in the Pacific NW, gardeners start asking about geraniums as soon as the weather warms up. With a fancy leaf geranium like 'Tricolor,' we really can't blame them. Spreading a bit wider than it is tall, this variety boasts a green scalloped leaf, edged haphazardly in creamy white to yellow, with reddish tones splashed in between. Add in reddish orange blooms in the summer, and this tender perennial is truly stunning in container planters, hanging baskets, borders, and mass plantings. Treated as a summer annual, we have seen these geraniums ride out light frosts right into the fall.
