A tall, dark, and handsome perennial (hardy) fuchsia that can tolerate a bit more sun than most other fuchsias.
Available in store
Close'Gartenmeister' fuchsia stands out among the hardy fuchsias with dark tinged leaves, an upright profile, and striking tubular shaped, reddish-orange flowers. Though we see this variety return regularly in "normal" Pacific NW weather, extreme cold spells may kill 'Gartenmeister' off. It's a bit more heat tolerant than other fuchsias, and may be the perfect addition to container planters or hanging baskets that get early afternoon sun. Hummingbirds enjoy this unusual variety as much as gardeners do.
