CloseThe large thick leaves of this rubber plant should give future owners an inkling of 'Tineke's' growth potential. In its natural habitat, this tropical grower can reach 50 feet in height in less than 15 years, but
as an indoor specimen, it tops out around 10 - 12 feet tall and maybe half as wide in 10 to 20 years. Tineke can be topped as well, which encourages the emergence of more stems from the base of the plant.
Consider giving it some support, as the plant will start to lean as it gains in height. Give this beauty a well-lighted room, deep watering when the top inch of soil is dry, and periodic misting for best results.
Please don't let your furry friends chew on the leaves, as rubber plants are NOT pet-friendly.
