Weeping figs are a popular indoor plant, but we suspect that many indoor gardeners have yet to see this Curly Weeping Fig, aka Pandora's weeping fig. Shiny green leaves almost curl back on themselves along thin, arching branches. This variety can be pruned to form a small tree, and bonsai enthusiasts may find Pandora a satisfying specimen. Otherwise, branches will continue to emerge from the base to eventually form a small shrub, usually no more than six feet tall indoors and three to five feet wide. As is true of most figs, 'Pandora' grows best in a well-lit room, away from heat vents, and prefers not to be moved around, other than to rotate in place to encourage even growth. Pets and humans will have unfavorable reactions to ingesting 'Pandora's' leaves, so best to keep out of reach.
