What's that creeping out over the edge of that planter? Not to worry, it's just the furry foot-like surface roots of the Rabbit's Foot fern.

CloseNot all ferns are created equal, and Rabbit's Foot Fern is definitely in a class of its own. Plentiful lacy fronds form a dense rounded cap but place the fern near the edge of your pot so its hairy foot-like surface rhizomes trail over the edge of the container. Like most ferns, Rabbit's Foot fern likes higher humidity and needs to be watered when the soil surface is almost dry.
