CloseCuphea 'Honeybells' is one of those summer annuals that gardeners come back for after trying it for the first time. Cute, tubular or cigar-shaped bi-colored flowers bloom from late spring well into fall on well-branching green stems that serve as an excellent filler for baskets and container planters. Cuphea can stand the heat of summer and require little maintenance other than regular water and fertilizer. Just watch out for hummingbirds. They get kind of possessive around these plants!
