Cuphea is one of those summer garden flowers that is akin to best supporting actor, providing a satisfying background or fill for other splashier blooms. Usually growing 12" -  24" tall and wide, 'Blackberry Sparkler' brings its own ambiance to the garden with a plethora of small, narrow, creamy-white tube-shaped flowers tipped in reddish-black, that justify the nickname of Cigar Plant. Subtle, intriguing, and a wonderful partner to dark purples, pale yellows, and bright orange, this cuphea often blooms well into the fall. Technically a perennial that is hardy to 10 degrees, 'Blackberry Sparkler' is usually grown as an annual.
