An attractive, uniformly shaped evergreen shrub that takes its time to form a mature specimen of about two feet tall and wide.
Available in store
Close'Birodo' Japanese Cedar is a low- and slow-growing evergreen that requires little effort on the part of the gardener to look its best. Tightly spaced branches look like they are covered with stars, formed by the short, erect needles. Green in the spring and summer, 'Birodo' takes on darker, almost purple hues in the colder months. This globe-shaped dwarf shrub will grow to about two feet tall and wide at maturity, and does well in container planters or in the ground, as long as it has good drainage.
