Let this one soak up the sun during the warm days of late spring to summer, but bring it indoors once the temps drop below 60 degrees.

CloseAs wet and cold as the Pacific NW is in winter, there is a place for succulents in the home garden, be it indoors or out. Calico Kitten takes on the best color when given lots of direct sunshine during the warmer days of the year, but it doesn't like the cold or soggy roots, so consider growing this attractive trailer in hanging baskets or container planters that can be brought indoors for the fall and winter. Calico Kitten trails beautifully, if a bit slowly, growing up to two feet long at maturity and forming a mound up to a foot tall. Given enough light, small clusters of pinkish white flowers may appear in late spring and summer. Frankly, the foliage itself is so colorful with varying shades of pink, green, and cream, the flowers are simply a bonus.
