This dwarf version of pampas grass can still reach 3 to 5 feet in height and spread 4 to 6 feet wide, so give it lots of room!

ClosePampas grass is truly eye-catching when its creamy white plumes rise high above the grassy clumps, but it is a space hog. Dwarf Pampas Grass is slightly smaller, eventually forming dense clumps three to five feet tall and four to six feet wide. The plumes can rise up to eight feet tall, creating a showy display in late summer to fall. Its spread and drought tolerance makes 'Ivory Feathers' a good choice for hillsides, seasonal privacy screens, xeriscapes, large containers, and as a focal point in the garden. Give this one lots of sun and water until established in the ground, at which point it may need watering only in extreme heat. Cut back the grass in late winter or early spring before the new growth emerges. Please, wear long sleeves when doing so as the grass blades are quite sharp and can easily cut the skin.
