Coreopsis is known to be a prolific bloomer, and Double the Sun is no exception. Tickseed (so called because the seeds look like ticks) is also a dependable perennial that loves the sun and becomes drought-tolerant once established in the ground, making it an easy choice for gardeners who go for low-maintenance plants. Due to its compact size (about a foot tall and wide), Double the Sun is perfect for smaller gardens, container planters, and hanging baskets that lack the space but need a punch of color. Pollinators love the sunny yellow flowers that often cover the fine-bladed foliage. Double the Sun starts putting on a show 2 to 3 weeks earlier than other varieties of coreopsis, but it does tend to end the display a bit earlier as well. Not to worry though - it will return year after year.
