This Hawaiian Ti Plant can grow outdoors in the summer shade garden but it does equally well as a year-round indoor specimen.

CloseThe pink-edged, green and yellow streaked strap leaves of the Hawaiian Ti Plant make it an outstanding choice for year-round indoor color or as an addition to the outdoor summer shade garden. Indoors, a well-lit room with no direct sun will yield the best color while outside, 'Kiwi' prefers morning sun/afternoon shade, or all-day dappled sun. If you choose to add this specimen to your summer garden, plant it in a large container that can be brought indoors when the temps drop below 55 degrees. Though the Hawaiian Ti plant can get quite large in its native habitat, count on this multi-stemmed variety topping out around three feet tall and about half as wide.
