A relatively new everbearing strawberry patented in 2016, said to be larger than Albions with good flavor and aroma when fully ripe.

Close'Cabrillo' strawberry is a very firm berry that is medium to deep red when fully ripe, and that apparently is key to the best flavor. This is an everbearing variety, ripening from July into the fall and has fairly good resistance to disease. Developed and patented by the University of CA breeding program, be sure to give this and all strawberries as much sun as possible for best flavor.
