The Arabian Coffee Plant is indeed the one that eventually produces the beans for our morning cup of joe. However, we suggest that you enjoy this plant for other reasons. First, its foliage is absolutely gorgeous - shiny, dark green leaves with ruffled edges - and it makes a stunning house plant. It can eventually reach 4 to 6 feet tall indoors, but takes well to pruning, so you can trim it as needed. If conditions are right, i.e. enough humidity, a well-lighted room, and correct size of pot, your Arabian Coffee Plant just might bloom after three to four years, producing fragrant, star-shaped white flowers. These do become berries and yes, the sought-after coffee beans, but we think the flowers would be pretty spectacular all by themselves.
