Calluna vulgaris 'Winter Chocolate' Quart

Availability: In stock (5)

Scoth Heathers are what's known as bud bloomers, with tiny plump blooms that never open, lining the stems. All the more intriguing for this characteristic, callunas also provide surprising but delightful color changes in the foliage, often having purple-hued buds on chartreuse foliage. 'Winter Chocolate has lavender pink buds on green stems in the summer, with the foliage taking on chocolate colored hues in the fall and winter. Spreading about 18 inches wide, but staying under a foot tall, callunas provide wonderful year-round texture and interest to hanging baskets, container planters, borders, and in mass plantings.
