Bigger is not always better, and calibrachoas, aka Million Bells, prove the point. Often called mini-petunias because of the smaller but similar shaped flowers, calibrachoas are prolific bloomers, adding lots of color to summer baskets with minimal work. No deadheading, heat tolerant, and lets be honest, calibrachoas don't have those maddeningly sticky leaves common to petunias. 'Callie Yellow' will shine in sunny locations, adding a cascading mound of rich yellow to hanging baskets, container planters, and borders. Water and fertilize regularly, and watch this Million Bells do its stuff.
FYI, bees and butterflies love calibrachoas, and unfortunately, so do the dreaded bud worm. If your healthy plant suddenly "stops blooming," check for tiny green worms or their poop - black dots all over the foliage. We've got the remedy for that, so come on in or give us a call!
