CloseNonstop tuberous begonias are a favorite of shade gardeners because they produce so much beauty and pleasure for not much effort. Large, almost frilly double flowers appear in the spring on upright, somewhat bushy mounds of lush green foliage, up to a foot tall and and almost 18 inches wide. Whether grown in container planters, hanging baskets, or along walkways and borders, they add flamboyant color and texture to the shade garden. They do need some sun in order to produce the most blooms, but give them shade during the hottest time of the day. Water and fertilize regularly throughout the growing season to maintain Nonstop begonias' best looks right up until freeze.
