One of the nursery's favorite shade annuals - big, breathtaking, and long lasting, blooming from late spring right into the fall.

CloseAt The Garden Corner, we love planting a mixture of annuals, perennials, and evergreens in our seasonal hanging baskets, so it was something of a departure when we planted several of our extra-large hanging spheres with just 'Dragon Wing' begonias, and a single color in each sphere. By mid-summer, the begonias had shot up and filled out, creating a shiny green backdrop of wing-shaped leaves for an explosion of blooms. When other summer annuals were beginning to look a bit tired in late August, the 'Dragon Wing' begonias were even more massive and honestly breathtaking. Because the flowers of 'Dragon Wing' begonias are sterile, they just keep going right up until freeze, and in this case, the spheres literally stopped people in their tracks. Gorgeous when planted with other types of plants, 'Dragon Wing' begonia is well able to stand on its own, for an amazingly long season.
