These wax begonias have long been a favorite in the summer garden, and with good reason. Tolerant of sun and a reliable bloomer in partial shade, the shiny foliage provides a clean backdrop for dainty single-petaled flowers. The Cocktail Bronze Vodka' produces bright red, yellow-eyed flowers from late spring right up until freeze. Growing less than a foot tall and wide, wax begonias are an excellent choice for hanging baskets, container planters, or along borders in the garden. While needing a bit of protection from the hottest time of day, wax begonias will produce the best blooms with at least partial sun and will keep a denser, more compact form.
