CloseIt's a shame 'Everleaf Emerald Towers' basil is a frost-sensitive annual because this edible shrub would make a terrific low hedge for an edible knot garden. Growing two to three feet tall and up to one foot wide, 'Everleaf Emerald Towers' has glossy green, Genovese-style leaves, and makes an attractive container plant. Harvest up to one-third of the leaves at one time, and new leaves will soon fill in. Another characteristic of this unique basil is the late flowering period - purportedly 8 to 12 weeks later than other varieties - retaining that sweet basil flavor without having to pinch out blooms.
