Striking silver and green arrowhead-shaped leaves form a dense ground cover, hiding any flowers that may bloom in late spring to summer.

Close'Quicksilver' Chinese Wild Ginger is all about the foliage - deep green with silver variegation that lights up shady garden spots, in borders, container planters, or hanging baskets. This variety stays a modest 6" - 8" tall and spreads up to a foot wide, maintaining a less vigorous presence in the fall and winter, but flushing out nicely when the weather warms. Its brownish-purple flowers remain hidden beneath the cyclamen-like foliage, though you may be able to spot them in late spring to early summer. 'Quicksilver' makes a dense ground cover, suitable for shady gardens and pairs well with other shade lovers in container planters and hanging baskets.
