Anytime we get this Sea Thrift in the nursery, it flies out the door. After all, what's not to like about this low-growing, evergreen perennial with green grass-like foliage and cute pink globe-shaped flowers from late spring into the summer? Sun-loving, salt-tolerant (read, good coastal option), and drought-resistant once established, Dusseldorf Sea Thrift will add color, texture, and yes, a bit of whimsy to walkways, garden borders, container planters, and hanging baskets. Consider using this in fairy gardens as well. Clipping spent flowers will prolong the bloom period, and Dusseldorf Sea Thrift may bloom again in the fall.
