CloseApparently found only on Samar Island in the Philippines, Alocasia 'Samar Lance' is indeed more lance-shaped than its other Elephant Ears cousins. This variety is also quite small compared to other alocasias, growing to no more than a foot tall and wide, with deeply embossed leaves that mature from a light green to a darker green tinged with blue. 'Samar Lance' would be a dramatic addition to indoor container planters but can certainly stand on its own. Higher humidity, lots of indirect light, and thorough watering when the soil is dry will keep this unique specimen happy. Keep away from pets, as ingesting the leaves will cause problems for animals and plant alike.
