Alocasias, aka Elephant's Ears, are valued for their distinctive, upward pointing arrowhead-shaped leaves. The varieties we've carried in the past were dwarf varieties, topping out around two feet tall. Not so, 'Sarian' Elephant's Ears, which can eventually grow to five feet tall and possibly as wide, given the proper growing conditions. As a tropical plant, 'Sarian' prefers  higher humidity, a very well-lit room but no direct hot sun, and deep watering when the top inch or two of soil is dry. Misting the leaves periodically is also keeps alocasias happy. The taller this plant grows, the better, as those potentially tempting but toxic leaves can be kept out of reach of munching fur friends.
