As if the blue-toned, lily like flowers aren't enough, this variety's broad green strap leaves are edged in yellow, adding even more color to the garden.

CloseLily of the Nile flowers are so exotic looking, it's somewhat surprising that this plant does so well in the Pacific NW. 'Neverland' adds even more interest with its green and yellow variegated leaves that form a mound 18 to 24 inches tall and wide. Though somewhat tender (hardy to 10 to 20 degrees), the foliage sometimes lasts through the winter. Any damaged leaves can be removed in late winter before the new growth emerges in the spring. The sky blue to lilac flowers are wonderful cut flowers and will bring on the bees and butterflies. Drought tolerant once established, Lily of the Nile is also salt tolerant and thus does well in coastal gardens.
