A compact, bushy perennial loaded with yellow "lanterns" that will light up your garden all summer long.
Available in store
Close'Lucky Lantern Yellow' is a dwarf variety of flowering maple with the characteristic maple-leaf foliage but stays small, topping out around one foot tall and wide. Classified as a semi-evergreen shrub, 'Lucky Lantern Yellow' abutilon may lose all its leaves in Pacific NW winters, but will come back in the spring. Grow this prolific bloomer in a container planter so it can shelter under the eaves, and prune lightly in the fall to help maintain its compact form. Striking yellow flowers bloom all summer long and will definitely make the extra bit of care worth it.
