Passion bakskets are there

Jonn "J-Dog" Karsseboom

In my dream world, when I call a company, a real, live person answers the phone.  In my dream world, when I visit a company I’m greeted with “Hello Jonn, how’s the family?”  In my dream world, I buy products that perform as promised, are not misrepresented and bring me great joy and satisfaction.

I started The Garden Corner in 2000 with the goal of being the kind of company I’ve envisioned in my dreams.  It isn’t always easy, but the satisfaction that comes from the effort makes it all very worthwhile.

At The Garden Corner, we hope you find products that make you smile and an experience that is consistent with your own personal dream world.  If ever we fail, I hope you’ll call me or send me an email so that we can better meet your expectations in the future.

Gardening is an activity that has no boundaries. Selecting plants might be based on the amount of maintenance required, how a plant fits into an existing garden, the environment a gardener is trying to achieve, or countless other personal criteria.

Since I joined The Garden Corner in 2007, my goal has always been to learn as much as possible about each gardener’s situation so that I can use my knowledge and personal experience to help them make a plant selection that is just right for them.

Endre "E-Man" Elteto

When I joined The Garden Corner in 2005, I was concerned that its out-of-the-way location would make it hard to reach customers. But I’ve always believed that location isn’t why customers return.  It’s the service, the knowledge, and the desire to help that makes people look forward to return visits.  Doing these things for each customer is my goal.

I have found that if you can do the things that go beyond someone’s expectations, the location becomes less important and on their return visit, they’re likely to bring their friends as well.

Toby "T-Bone" Wolfe

It isn’t often that a high school kid gets a dream job, but this has been the case for me.  I get to do whatever is necessary to keep The Garden Corner looking its best and to maintain the plants so that the will look their best when they become part of your garden.

Much of my time is spent making deliveries in one of our many trucks.  It’s fun to deliver plants, meeting their new owners, and getting the opportunity to see the various ways in which they’ll be displayed.

Ryan "Sting" Krueger

I have always enjoyed meeting and helping people and my job at The Garden Corner lets me do them both. The attitude here is that the customer always comes first and this is a lesson that will serve me well once I finish my high school education.

I am also fortunate to be able to learn about botany and horticulture in a real-world environment and I look forward to using that knowledge in my future gardening endeavors.

The GC Man

So you're wondering, what's with the guy in all of our product photos?  Well, he's a little guy we call "The GC Man", there's a whole story behind him, but he's meant to give our users a perspective of plant size so you know exactly what you can expect from our products "before" they arrive.  No one likes to be dissappointed with size!

GCManRuler2

Here's a picture and measurement of our GC Man, holding a sharpie marker.  This should give you an idea of scale, pictures aren't always the best at representing this - but the marker and tape measure should do the trick.
