Hello,

I would recommend gardeners plan ahead and get soil to correct pH in fall for planting the following spring. Use of sulfur at planting is risky as too much can kill plants. I give rates/recommendations in the OSU Extension Service publication EC1304 (2008) Growing Blueberries in Your Home Garden available on the OSU Extension Publications web site.
